We’re looking for a senior developer / lead programmer to join us. Initially, the role will mostly involve leading a major project for a government (TSB) innovation grant, but it will expand into all areas of the business.
To make the most of this opportunity you will need to be a great problem-solver and a good communicator (because all our coding is done in teams). You will have several years experience with Ruby (or be able to demonstrate a propensity for learning languages in next-to-no-time). Ideally you will be a jquery guru, and a working knowledge of different databases (from MySQL / SQL Server to Couch / BigTable). Knowledge of the Unix command-line and an interest in SysAdmin would be desirable.
In short you should be an extreme geek / geek-ess, but not to the point you’re monosyllabic and forget to shower on a regular basis. If this sounds like you – we’d love to meet you.
